• Mari Leeは、国際的に活躍するバイオリニストであり起業家でもある。
  音楽への探究と聴衆を魅了するコンサートの在り方を追及する彼女は、聴衆、演奏者、作曲家の間のギャップを埋めることを目指すアーティストである。
   
  Mari Leeは、サウスバンクセンター、ウィグモアホール、ラジオ・フランス・フェスティヴァル、フィルハーモニー・ド・パリ、カーネギーホールなどで国際的に活躍するバイオリニストである。Strad Magazineから「非常に印象的」と評価される。ラビニア、ヴェルビエ、マルボロなどの有名なフェスティバルに招待され内田光子、今井信子、キム・カシュカシャン、マーティン・ヘルムヒェンらと共演する。
   
  学際的な芸術への強い関心を示す彼女は、付随演劇を取り入れたコンサートプロジェクトSalon Séance（サロン・セアンス）を共同創立。ミュージシャン、俳優、研究者、脚本家、舞台監督のコラボレーションであるサロン・セアンスは、タリシオのヤングアーティストグラントやブリテン・ピアズ財団のブリテン賞など、複数の賞を受賞している。
   
  観客との関わりに対するMari Leeの取り組みは、従来のコンサート会場やコミュニティを超えた音楽活動といえる。カーネギーホールのフェローシップの期間中には、受刑者、ホームレス、発達障害のある人々、またニューヨークの貧困地区の公立学校で学ぶ子供達のためのインタラクティブなパフォーマンスを数々企画してきた。

      2013年～2019年、マールボロ音楽祭に招待される。
      2019年、ニューヨークのオルフェウス室内管弦楽団に招かれ、ピアニストの辻井伸行氏とのアジアツアー香港、台湾、東京、名古屋、大阪、仙台に参加。
      2018年より、カーネギー・ホールのユースオーケストラであるNYO-USAのオーディションで、バイオリンの審査員を務める。
      2020年3月、内田光子とマーラー・チェンバー・オーケストラの全米ツアーのメンバーに抜擢される。
      
       
      
      Mari Lee is an artist dedicated to engaging her audience by instilling curiosity for music. A violinist and entrepreneur, she aims to bridge the gap between audiences, performers, and composers.
       
      Mari has performed internationally at the South Bank Centre, Wigmore Hall, Le Festival de Radio France Montpellier, Philharmonie de Paris, and Carnegie Hall. Prais
       
      ed as “extremely impressive” by the Strad Magazine, she has been invited to renowned festivals including Ravinia, Verbier, and Marlboro.
       
      Exemplifying her strong interest in interdisciplinary art, Mari co-founded Salon Séance, an organization that presents concerts with incidental theatre. A collaboration of musicians, actors, researchers, playwrights, and stage directors, Salon Séance has won multiple awards including Tarisio’s Young Artists Grants and the Britten-Pears Foundation’s Britten Award.
       
      Mari’s commitment to audience engagement has taken her beyond traditional concert venues and communities. During her fellowship at Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect, she created interactive performances for the incarcerated, homeless, developmentally disabled populations, and Title-1 schools in New York.
       
      Mari’s highlights from past seasons include performances with Salon Séance at The Crypt Sessions and Yellow Barn; a collaboration with dancers from BodyVox; multimedia concerts at CreArt; and performances of Schoenberg’s Pierrot lunaire with lighting and theater at Carnegie Hall.
       
      Mari Lee is a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music, New England Conservatory and Universität der Künste Berlin. She is a semi-finalist of the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition and the youngest semi-finalist of the Long–Thibaud–Crespin Competition.

      2001: Awarded the first prize in the Student Music Concours of Japan.
      2002: Moved to the UK to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School under Natasha Boyarsky. Awarded a scholarship by the British government.
      2006: Semi-finalist in the Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition.
      2008: Youngest semi-finalist in the Concours international Marguerite-Long-Jacques-Thibaud. Awarded a full scholarship to study at the New England Conservatory of Music under Miriam Fried.
      2009: Awarded the Werner Stiefel Preis by the Carl Flesch Akademie.
      2013: Graduated with B.A. from the New England Conservatory of Music.
      2014: Moved to Germany to study at the Universität der Künste Berlin under Nora Chastain.
      2015, 17: Semi-finalist in the Michael Hill International Violin Competition.
      2016: Graduated with M.A. from the Universität der Künste Berlin. Awarded the Ensemble Connect fellowship program by Carnegie Hall, performing over 30 concerts for them. Chosen as the Ensemble Connect’s leader for their Rothschild Foundation-sponsored Paris tour. Performed at the Rockefeller University for their Noon Recital Series, at the Japan Foundation in New York and at the Music in the Vineyards music festival.
      2013-19: Invited to the Marlboro Music Festival.
      2019: Invited by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra to perform for their Asia tour with Nobuyuki Tsujii, with stops in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Sendai.
      2018-: Served as a judge for the auditions for Carnegie Hall’s NYO-USA.

      Japanese-born pianist Naoko Sonoda is a prize-winner of several international piano and chamber music competitions, including those in Argento and Trieste (Italy), as well as the Łódź Competition (Poland). Solo and chamber music concert invitations have taken her throughout Europe, Asia, US and South America and to festivals such as Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Meckle-Vorpommern and Verbier Festival. Chamber music partners include Santiago Cañón Valencia, Hartmut Rohde, Mark Gothoni, Danjulo Ishizaka, Jens-Peter Maintz, and Andrei Ionita. She has performed with such renowned orchestras as the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, and has been heard in world-class venues, most notably the Berliner Philharmonie in Germany, Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall in St.Petersburg, Teatro Mayor in Bogota and Carnegie Hall in NY.
       
      Ms. Sonoda is in high demand as a collaborative pianist; she received prizes as best collaborative pianist at the International Music Competition in Markneukirchen (2013, 2019), the Lutosławski International Cello Competition in Warsaw (2015, 2018), and the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition (2015, 2019). Her performances are regularly broadcast on international radio and TV, including Kulturradio RBB, ZDF and BR in Germany, NPO Radio 4 in Netherlands, Radio Romania, NHK-FM in Japan and the BBC.
       
      Ms. Sonoda studied with Yoko Okumura, Seiko Ezawa and Mikhail Voskresensky at the Toho Gakuen School of Music, before studying at the Universität der Künste in Berlin with Rainer Becker. She also studied chamber music with Tabea Zimmermann, Markus Nyikos and Natalia Gutman.
       
      She has taken masterclasses with Hans Leygraf, Ferenc Rados, Klaus Hellwig, Pascal Devoyon and Jacques Rouvier. After graduating, Naoko was engaged by the Universität der Künste in Berlin, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns-Eisler Berlin and the Franz Liszt Musikhochschule in Weimar as a collaborative pianist.

• 兵庫県神戸市生まれ。大阪外国語大学（現・大阪大学）言語社会研究科博士後期課程修了後、東京大学史料編纂所に日本学術振興会特別研究員として在籍。その後、スタンフォード大学大学院歴史学科博士後期課程修了。学術博士および歴史学博士(Ph.D in History)。現在、スタンフォード大学歴史学科、およびイェール大学マクミラン国際研究所東アジア学科において研究員として日本前近代史プロジェクトに参加する他、日米欧の日本史研究者との共同研究にも多数従事している。主要共著書に、『太子信仰と天神信仰』（思文閣出版、2010年）、Cartographic Japan—A History in Maps (University of Chicago Press, 2016)、Mapping Asia: Cartographic Encounters Between East and West (Springer, 2019)など。
   
   
  
  Sayoko Sakakibara was born in Kobe. She is a specialist in the religio-political and spatial history of pre-modern Japan. After earning her first Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Language and Society at Osaka University of Foreign Studies, she was as a postdoctoral fellow at the Historiographical Institute at the University of Tokyo. She then acquired her second Ph.D. in history at Stanford University and is currently a researcher both at Stanford’s Department of History and at the Council on East Asian Studies at Yale University, participating in several collaborative research projects on Japanese history together with scholars from Japan, Europe and the US.
   
  Her second dissertation, “Domesticating Prince Shōtoku: Tokugawa Sacred Geography and the Construction of a National Landscape” redefined the concept of the state in the Japanese historical context by focusing on the development of the national cult of Prince Shōtoku in the late medieval and early modern periods.
   
  Her current project involves interrogating religious texts from the Tokugawa period to understand the geography of religious networks within the early modern national landscape. Her recent publications on spatial history include the contributions to Mapping Asia: Cartographic Encounters Between East and West (Springer, 2019) Cartographic Japan: A History in Maps (University of Chicago Press, 2016), Taishi shinkō to Tenjin shinkō: Shinkō to hyōgen no isō (Shibunkaku shuppan, 2010, in Japanese).

  近年は文芸誌「新潮」に戯曲が掲載され、ソウル、香港、台北、ニューヨーク、ロンドンなどで翻訳戯曲が上演されるなど、その作家性に注目を集めている。 『亡命球児』（「新潮」2013年6月号掲載）によって、小説家としてもデビュー。2016年10月より、文化庁新進芸術家海外研修制度研修員としてアルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレスに1年間滞在した。

He is the winner of the Best Director Prize at the 2006 TOGA Directors Competition for Stage Directing with his staging of Pablo Picasso’s play, ‘Le Désir attrapé par la queue’. Kamisato is also the winner of the 2018 Kishida Prize for Drama with his own play, ‘The Story of Descending the Long Slopes of Valparaíso’. His works focus on people who move across borders and they are based on stories he collects on his travels abroad. In recent years, Kamisato’s plays have been published in the literary magazine Shincho and they have been staged in translation in cities all over the world — including Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, New York and London — where they have been praised for their originality. He made his debut as a novelist in 2013 with ‘Bōmei kyūji’ in the June issue of Shincho that year. As an awardee of the Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists, an initiative of the Japanese government’s Agency for Cultural Affairs, Kamisato lived in Buenos Aires for a year from October 2016. While in South America, he conducted interviews with descendants of Japanese immigrants across that region and they were collected in a book published by Aki Shobo on 10th March this year, with the title ‘Koete iku hito’.

She runs Petite Plage, a school for recitation that has been certified by the Japanese Association for the Standardised Testing of Recitation. For the Association, Noriko also serves as the head of planning, as a senior instructor and as an examiner for their advanced-level qualification. She was formerly a flight attendant for Japan Airlines.

  Norika has appeared on stage with the pop idol group Sakura Gakuin and on radio with Imaichi Ryûji for his ‘SPARK’ programme on J-WAVE. She has also served as a judge for recitation contests and as a special instructor of recitation for schools and businesses. Noriko does public outreach as well, such as her public seminar held at the Asashi Shimbun Reader’s Hall in Tokyo and her work with Ibaraki Prefecture, Nara Prefecture, and Akama Shrine.

          As a native of Japan, Kae Ozawa has spent her childhood in Illinois, the U.S.A. She studied at Tokyo university of the Arts to earn B.A. and M.A., where she now has a position as a official pianist in the Division of Wind and Percussion, Department of Instrumental Music.
          She is a participant of the Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy from its start in 2010; as a selected student member, she has performed for the Suntory Hall Chamber Music Garden. 
          Achievements in the international competitions include the Valsesia Viotti International Piano Competition (3rd prize). Her appearances as a soloist include the one with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. For her performance with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, she received the Chunichi Award.
          She serves as an official pianist for Munetsugu Angel Violin competition, and Japan Woodwind Competition.
